A large lightbox with Shazam’s logo
With the help from Ricardo Mestre (design) and Bruno Abrantes (assembly), this was my first project using LEDs. We had a big corridor wall with two unused power sockets in the middle of it we wanted to make use of.
A local company laser-cut the Shazam logo and carved the white plexiglass in the same shape so it would glue perfectly into place. The wooden box I hand built and painted in glossy white.
The LED strips were soldered in the exact same shape as the lighting bolt, so that even tough most of the lit is diffuse, it’s still clearly stronger around the red shape.
The power adapter was hidden inside the box so no cables are seen and everything fits neatly into the wall.
